Casa Belavista offers a walking tour with picnic and historical guidance in the Serra da Arrábida. The first meeting point is the entrance to the Castello in the immediate vicinity of our holiday apartment, Casa Belavista. From there we walk through the old town of Palmela pass the bus station (second meeting point) and continue walking into the hills of the Serra do Arrábida. there we follow the windmills, explore Roman remainings of an antique fortress and enjoy the view of Lisbon and the Atlantic Ocean. We walk back through the diverse nature of the Serra do Louro. Finally, we visit a top winery in a fantastic location (if open). There we have our picnic and everyone has the opportunity to taste the distinctive wine of the region. Our 3-4 hour excursion finally takes us back to the historic centre of Palmela.
