Palmela is a winegrowing town (about 18,000 inhabitants) toped by a medieval castle. Alone 35 local winemakers invite to tastings. It is the ideal starting point for beachlive, mountain bikers, divers, surfers, sailors, kiters, etc. Small towns, sea bays, traditional markets, Lisbon and unique nature reserves such as the nature reserve Serra da Arrábida belong to the closer area.

Lisbon is about 35 km away. The capital of Portugal and the airport can be reached by car in about 40 minutes and by public transport in about one hour (metro and express bus every hour). Palmela has a train connection to Lisbon. Express buses run to Lisbon and Setúbal. By car, beaches and attractions are within easy reach.
